Ever

Ever trying to keep a faith.

Ever being a slave to some relentless fate.

Never care to question and explain!

Never care to find the meaning of your pain!

Only know to beg and pray,

only trained to obey.

Ever sit and wait to receive

 from someone felt but never seen;

hoping for a second life to come,

 ever promised, never found

Be a master of your fate!

Thought you were unable to know what's right and wrong;

so let decisions be made for you,

 plotted behind closed doors.

Trusted property and life with those who mastered lying;

who are always doing the unjust

and always justifying.

Now you're angry;

you declare: you'll no more endure;

where your anger to direct, really not being sure.

Sick and tired, can stand no more being silent and paying;

you feel you can demand much more;

 you need to have a say.

Be a master of your fate! Take life in your hands!

No more enemy of change! Time to be a friend.

Needn't shout, needn't take to the streets; hold your mind still!

this rebellion' s bloodshed free;

all it takes is will.

Aren’t you fed up?

Copyright © 1997 IOANNIDIS NIKOLAOS. Composed, arranged, performed and produced by IOANNIDIS NIKOLAOS

Aren’t you fed up always giving, taking nothing in return?

Letting schemers, parasites ever sucking in your blood; ever sucking in your heart.

Stop self deceiving! You are no-one’s concern!

Enough with creeping! Stand up now, use your brain!

Fight fear, speak your mind! Get a voice, find your pride!

Show passion! Try to get your hands untied!

You have power! Do now what the time wants!

No more passive, no more passed by!

You have power! Try to find your pride.

Look ahead, not behind; no more sticking to the past.

Fight custom! Change your life! Don’t be lazy to adjust!

See far! Get close! Time your senses to unlock.

Local minded no longer; now its earth where you belong.

Looking for something to believe in

Copyright © 1997 IOANNIDIS NIKOLAOS. Composed, arranged, performed and produced by IOANNIDIS NIKOLAOS

Looking for something to believe in, for a place to belong.

What I live is so below

what I live my life for.

Small ideas in big package, loud talks from empty minds,

all appearances deceiving;

strive to see through walls of lies.

Holy men behaving badly,

heroes, idols, all gone;

all the media creations not enough to turn me on.

Self appointed moral guardians try to teach me by force

to live by their own standards,

ideals long bygone.

Small ideas in big package, loud talks from empty minds,

all appearances deceiving;

strive to see through walls of lies!

Look for something to believe in, for a place to belong.

Want to know why I'm here;

am I born to be alone?

Those with a brain

Copyright © 1997 IOANNIDIS NIKOLAOS. Composed, arranged, performed and produced by IOANNIDIS NIKOLAOS

How much more down can we get?

How much more ugliness can take?

How much stupidity and filth?

Have to get out of this realm,

 this filthy prison to my dreams

of all the fake and the cheap,

 of all the begging and the sick.

Why can’t we hear the voice of free?

Have they really become extinct?

Those with a brain, those who create,

the ones who aren’t stuck somewhere,

the thinking people,

where are they?

Why eternally be ruled

by the illiterates and fools?

Where are the brains? where is the taste?

The ones who know what it takes?

Creative minds,

where are they?

The visionary

Copyright © 1997 IOANNIDIS NIKOLAOS. Composed, arranged, performed and produced by IOANNIDIS NIKOLAOS

Dreams are born from his music,

worlds fall from his songs.

He is walking his own path,

with melodies, rhymes

barriers to break,

bridges to make.

A life spent in searching,

a soul meant to dream

visions of a world sane and free.

In times of confusion,

 he leaves his trace.

Wish I could change it all

Copyright © 1997 IOANNIDIS NIKOLAOS. Composed, arranged, performed and produced by IOANNIDIS NIKOLAOS

I tried to figure out before; confusion was the gain.

I tried to put an end to this; it brought me pain.

I think I’m going crazy;

wish I could change it all.

To speak of sorrow never meant, but these strings only cry.

They take away my heart again.

I think I’m going crazy;

wish I could change it all.

I'll sit back and I’ll watch no more my life being in play.

In this age of anxiety, serenity I’ll gain.

So you’ve been told

Copyright © 1997 IOANNIDIS NIKOLAOS. Composed, arranged, performed and produced by IOANNIDIS NIKOLAOS

So you’ve been told: ‘Increase in numbers, fill the earth’.

And so you did. You filled it, subdued it, flooded with waste.

So you’ve been told: ''Rule over the creatures that move on the ground''

Now, are you satisfied? You ruled it, you swept it, you are almost left alone.

Now full of complains, you still don't blame your mind;

you better think again or pay the price.

Beware your precious friends, the Cheap and the Rubbish

waiting there patiently your grave to establish.

My life a race

Copyright © 1997 IOANNIDIS NIKOLAOS. Composed, arranged, performed and produced by IOANNIDIS NIKOLAOS

Once more tried , once more failed

oh, my whole life a race!

will I win , will I lose

will dreams ever be fulfilled?

Things I did , things I said,

always sorry in the end.

Should I leave, turn a page?

Should my memory erase?

Takes so much skill , takes so much will

walking this road to the end

every single moment to savor, to live

not always want to forget.

No more sighs, no more cries , no more telling myself lies!

Life simple, life sweet, I will chase, I will live!

Sleep!

Copyright © 1997 IOANNIDIS NIKOLAOS. Composed, arranged, performed and produced by IOANNIDIS NIKOLAOS

Close your eyes and listen to this dreamlike music!

Glide to sleep!

Feel your body lifted, a feather!

 A warm stream of pleasure is running you through!

 Sleep!

You are so pretty, so clever, so happy!

Sorrow and pain cannot reach you!

Everybody loves you, respects you, adores you!

Everyone likes to be with you!

Look!

you’re lying on the burning sand of a Greek island,

wetting your feet in the blue sea.

Lying there, beside you, your lover,

 so close, full of passion!

Touches your lips!

 Sleep!

You are so pretty, so clever, so happy!

Sorrow and pain cannot reach you.

Everybody loves you, respects you, adores you!

Everyone likes to be with you!

Still awake?
